Do you believe in ghosts?
I do, but I don't think I ever ran into one until I moved into my house.
My husband and I moved into our new home about 2 weeks before our wedding, about 2 1/2 months ago.
The day after we moved in I was at the house moving some things around when my husband had gone over to our old house to get some things. I was moving the couch around the living room when I saw a shadow. I looked over and it just faded away.
Okay.
Maybe I am just seeing things.
So, I was moving some stuff around again and I saw the shadow.
I was getting that feeling that someone was standing next to me and there was a legit black shadow in the space.
Okay.
Again, maybe I am just seeing things.
Or maybe I was just wiggin' out because it was the first time I was alone in a new environment.
So, my husband comes over and we start to move things around, and I don't even mention what I had seen.
My husband already thinks I am crazy, that would probably just put the icing on the cake.
Anyway, we got all moved in, got married two weeks later and started our lives together.
Cool.
Well one night we are sleeping and out of no where our dog Chico wakes up in the middle of the night just barking his butt off.
I wake up thinking well maybe Blake has gotten up to go to the bathroom, or is even sleep walking.
Nope. Blake's sound asleep.
Great.
Well, Chico is still barking and at this point I am thinking that maybe there is a burglar in our house.
Do I want to get up and have the burglar kill me?
No.
Should I get grab the gun that we have yet I have never even shot before?
Umm no, that's a disaster waiting to happen and I don't really feel like being on the news tomorrow morning.
So, I get up and grab Chico with me and he is still barking, somewhat growling in our pitch black house. I walk down the hallway, and even in the dark, there goes the little black spot. It moved as if it was walking right out of the door.
OH. SHIT!
Okay. Here I am telling myself "Lisset, turn around and go to bed. Do not look out the window and scare yourself more." So I go back to bed and Chico is fine. He lays right back down and goes to sleep.
Damn, is it really that easy?
We just possibly saw our ghost friend and here he is just passing right back out.
Do I wake Blake up and risk the chance of him thinking I am A.) More crazy than I already am or B.) Have him go all psychotic crazy on me because I woke him up.
Yeah no.
While I am laying in bed, trying not to freak out, trying to get myself some more sleep I am also praying I don't have nightmares if and when I do finally go back to sleep!
Well, I finally fall back asleep. All is good.
I go on about my life and but I was still thinking about that black spot I saw.
I think it was a ghost.
Not sure.
But def not going to mess with that thing.
It's not messing with me, just wants some cold ac and a place to hang out... go right ahead ghost, no worries here.
Okay so one day I am laying down on the couch waiting for my husband to get home from work and out of nowhere Chico goes running to the window and starts barking.
Okay, my husband isn't home, no one is outside, not even a squirrel or a bird. Heck, I didn't even see a wasp or anything.
It's real. We have a ghost.
So I tell my husband about this finally a few weeks ago and he was like "well, I haven't see anything."
And that's it.
Really Blake.
Really?
Basically I got the vibe that he doesn't believe me and he thinks I am crazy.
WTF.
Okay, so the day we get back from our trip that I told him on, we were in the house hangin' out and there goes the black spot.
This time it was outside on the porch. I saw it move towards around the house.
Oh shit.
Now it's pissed because I've told someone about it.
Where we live it's been said that it was build on an old cemetery.
Not to mention around where we live there are houses that have been said to have paranormal activity.
The thing is, I belive in ghosts, I've never had an encounter with one but I think they exist.
There's one in my house.
I think it's Casper.
Not his brothers because they were mean and crazy.
This one is friendly.
Someone I know.
So technically is the house really "haunted" or just occupied with humans and spirits?
Until next time....
A blog about a girl who reads a lot, talks more than she should, spends a lot of money on clothes and thinks her dog is the shit.

Being Catholic
Yesterday I went to a funeral for someone in my husband's family.
The man was Catholic.
I was raised Catholic.
Technically, I still am Catholic.
However, I've never really attended the Catholic church.
I went as a kid growing up but as I got older I really just stopped.
I can't say that I've ever really been a fan of the Catholic church.
Or any church for that matter.
I am Christian and I believe in God and all, I just have never truly felt "Welcomed" at a church.
When I was little I got my confirmation done while in Mexico with my parents. My sister had done her communion and so we both got our confirmations at the same time. Even though I still hadn't done my communion.
I was in Junior High when I decided to try and get it done.
I took the classes(was the oldest person in the class) and dang near completed the course. However, I got sick and was unable to attend a class and they told me I wouldn't be able to do my communion.
Well okay then.
I was pissed.
No like seriously eff you Catholic church lady who told me I wasted those Wednesdays coming to class to accomplish nothing.
I mean I guess I did learn something because I learned how to do a proper rosery, the our fathers, and hail marys.
But still, couldn't do my communion and to this day I can't even remember the Hail Mary.
Anyway, I've still gone to Catholic church all of my life.
I say the appropriate things when needed, however the only and (MAIN) problem that I have is that I am still unable to take communion during the service.
Well I think that's a load of crap.
Here I am, 26(almost 27) freaking years old and I still can't take the communion.
I've been coming to your church for all of these years, half asleep, half annoyed because I can hardly ever understand the priest but I still come, it's what my family expects of me, so I do it.
STILL. NO. COMMUNION.
Well, here's the thing.... God knows I'm a little rebel and he knows that I am hard headed and that I have always done what I have wanted to do therefore I think I should be able to take the communion. I mean, doesn't everyone get a little hungry during the service and that little piece of cracker/bread (whatever it is) could do just the trick to hold you over.
I mean why not.
You wouldn't let me get my communion done because of your rules and still I've come to church anyway.
And if I take the communion without really being allowed to, then I ask God for forgiveness, won't he just understand anyway?
IDK!
God, if you're listening, let me know what's up.... I sure get tired of watching everyone else take communion and I just sit there.

When I'm Gone/When You're Back Book Review
Holy Smokes.
I seriously don't even know where to begin.
The Rosemary Beach Series has literally been apart of my life for the past 2 years.
When I found Fallen To Far I was hooked.
That book had me hooked on Abbi Glines.
Her writing, the way she sucks you in, makes you laugh, cry, get mad and want to throw the book all the same time, she's just awesome.
Now, this story about Mase and Reese had me SWOON.
I loved everything about Mase except how he kept talking about "his freckle." LOL
It just seemed weird.
Like it wasn't something that would really be said in real life.
Other than that I LOVED him.
I mean, who doesn't love a southern cowboy.
YUMM.
I loved Reese because she had gone through a lot growing up and got a chance at a new life once she left home.
I loved that the people she had met and made friends with treated her nicely and she was able to move on from her past.
I also loved how Mase's family accepted her and didn't question her past.
I just can't get over Abblie Gline's books.
She's awesome.
This one's going to be a tough one to get over.
