Outfit of the Day

HOLY MOLY.

It's been one hot minute since I posted an Outfit of the Day or some fashion tips.

BUT, since I literally threw this outfit together less than 5 minutes I just had to talk about it.

First off, the dress I got it from Francesca's. It was more than I normally will pay for a dress but I absolutely LOVE their clothes and I knew that I could pair so many things with that dress.

Those over the knee tan suede boots I got with a girlfriend on a BOGO deal from Maurices. They were under $50 too. Nice boots under $50, to me, IS A DEAL!

The vest is the one and only Herringbone Vest. I don't remember which boutique I bought it at as I purchased it last year but you can find them a lot of places!

The scarf I scored from my favorite place Rue 21. I purchased it ona buy one get one $1 deal. I swear they always have the best freaking deals!

The cross earrings I scored at this awesome place in downtown Bryan called "Texas Rose Boutique." They have amazing sales and very reasonably priced items.

Such a cute and casual outfit for a day at work or for running some errands on a beautiful day!

Just remember, vests, necklaces, scarves, earrings can go with SO MANY THINGS. Don't be scared to buy them!

Book Review: Game On by Katie McCoy

If you like baseball and if you love to read then this is your book.

Let me rephrase that, if you like hot baseball guys and reading then THIS IS YOUR BOOK.

I REPEAT... THIS IS YOUR BOOK!!!!!!

It's been a while since I read a good baseball book thanks to my girl J. Sterling for that one.

How I stumbled upon this one... well I can thank BookBub for that.

In case you don't know what that is it's this company that sends out and email every day of book deals. It's pretty amazing.

I see the books that they send me and I check out the good read details on them and then SCORE... NEW BOOK!!!

Anyway, I stumbled upon this book and it was amazing.

Not only have I been on another blog, reading, writing hiatus but I'm slowly working back to it and well here I am trying to share with all of you another amazing read.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat because I kept thinking something would go wrong but nope, it went in the exact path I wanted it to go in and made me happy.

Despite the fact that it's based off of a baseball player and  my FAVORITE CITY IN THE WHOLE FREAKING WORLD.. Austin, Tx.

Gosh, I am obsessed with that place.

Okay, well I don't want to give out any deatils but that you should go read this book.

No, you NEED to read this book.

It is a stand alone so sadly there isn't anything else added to their story but seriously... GO READ IT!

Would You Be A Kid Again?

Whoever said it was fun to be an adult, lied.

Adulting sucks.

Paying bills sucks, taking care of yourself sucks, and most of all, listening to an upset 6 year old niece, sucks.

I try and call my sister in the mornings and during my lunch break since she is usually teaching piano when I get off work and twice now that I have called my sister in the morning my niece is upset.

She's not liking this school year so far.

My niece is a mixture of her father and me. My poor sister just carried her.

LORD, HELP US!!!!

Her dad gets irritated very easily.
I'm not any better.
My sister, however, is the very patient one and that totally skipped right over my niece and onto her second kid.

My niece is in 1st grade and school is just so hard.

(The drama, right?)

She stresses she won't finish in time so she gets stressed and spends more time stressing about it rather than staying calm and just getting the work done. (She gets that from her dad.)

School was easy for me.

I made good grades and breezed right through.

Except for my conduct grades. I was always in trouble for talking to much or too loud.

Who would have thought?
Me. The talker!

Plus now that she's in 1st grade she has a different class and different classmates.

Therefore she's without her friends now.

Well, apparently there's some girls in her class that she likes to play with but they have their own little clique going so when she asks to play with them they so no because they're already playing with someone else.

Little bitches.

I won't tell her it get's any better because that would be a lie.

BUT, I would go kick some 6 year old ass if I could.

I hate seeing her upset like that.

I tried to have a little pep talk with her today hoping that maybe it'll sound little different coming from her cool aunt when in reality I just want to march right up to that school and make those teachers make those mean little girls play with my niece. But I can't do that. I can't fix everything for her. She's gotta figure it out on her own. And I know she will, it's just a matter of her finding how to do that.

I think I'd do just about anything to be a kid again but if it meant dealing with little rude girls like that again, no thank you.

Ugh, it just pains me to see she's upset like that.

And she also showed me her wiggly tooth tonight.

Time, please slow down. My mini me isn't staying so mini.

Until next time....
